SOAHAC Honours the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls & Two-Spirit People
On October 4, SOAHAC commemorates the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls & Two-Spirit People. We honour the lives of all the people impacted by violence, including victims and survivors, and their family, friends and communities.
With communities across our service area, we join in Sisters in Spirit Vigils to remember and honour the women, girls and Two-Spirit people taken too soon, and acknowledge the harm done to our communities through this ongoing, systemic violence. To learn more, read: The Final Report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
Together, we can find healing and hope for a future free of violence.
